If we follow precepts then we don't build anything new. Justification is forced upon us and we live defending our lives instead of dictating the terms of our condition.

Nobody is perfect and when we truly understand that we realize that no... everybody is perfect. We all carry with us the moment that we leave behind.

The canvas is a glimpse of regular folks living day to day. I have defined the conditions of that instant and given the viewer and subject very little choice in the matter. It has been left in the work to the best of my ability.

Color is used aggressively to show all sides of the story. Light is explored but left secondary to my opinion.

White. Each figure carries with it an aura but all color leads to white.

I have been surrounded by artists a long time. Slowly there voices have been quieted allowing me to meditate as I work.

No longer is it enough to unveil the piece. There is a journey. Perhaps too long for the artist and too short for the viewer. The gap must be shortened. The viewer must have more understanding and be demystified. I am not a magician. There is no magic only love.

Showing the first, middle and last strokes allows the story to unfold. It reveals the plan, the mistakes, the success and the accepted outcome.
